A liqueur cellar, in black lacquered wood with inlaid brass, - Lot 40
A liqueur cellar, in black lacquered wood with inlaid brass, marquetry and mother-of-pearl decorations. In the cellar: four small carafes in cut and chased glass, and 10 small liqueur glasses in hand-cut crystal. Minor damage to two glasses, otherwise in excellent condition. Interior gilded brass bamboo decoration. Most probably late 19th century, early 20th century. The key and 6 small glasses are missing. The box holds a total of 16 liqueur glasses. Note that the lacquer is not cracked, an indication of the quality of the work.
